Nastia Liukin is my favourite gymnast. She is my inspiration! She is AMAZING! She won gold at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 representing America.
Her best event is the Uneven Bars! She was from Russia and she moved to America with her parents. Her parents had made a gym in an old supermarket and Nastia saw girls doing all cool gymnastics tricks and nastia tried them. She showed her parents and they asked “How did you do that?” Nastia told them that she saw the older girls doing it and she tried and from that day on they knew that she had a natural talent. Nastia pleaded “Please let me do gymnastics” they let her train in the gym with her mother.
Later on when she got better they let her train with a different coach. one day nastia came home with a big bruise under her eye. that was it her dad said she has to train with him. With her dad being her coach she won to world championships. Nastia’s dad said he was going to let her compete in the olympics and she did. SHE WAS THE OVERALL CHAMPION! SHE WAS SO HAPPY!!!!
